Interweb WTF?

When the hell did the internet become "the interweb"? It's annoying, and sounds stupid.

I've personally never heard that, but that would be tirsome to hear. Where are you seeing this?

I know I don't really go anywhere other than the showoff and sotw area on most forums but I think I would have heard that still if it was commonly used.

isnt an interweb a type of internet for a particular buisness, for example a college so that people cant go on..eh..unholy material.

Interweb is pretty much a joke to poke fun at people who don't know what the internet is. Apparently it caught on :(

Shuari, yeah that's what I thought. I've mostly been hearing it from European sites. I can't describe how much it bothers me.

I call it prefer to call it "t3h Int0rw3bz" I think the phrase Interweb was derived from "leet speak".
