Logon Screen

Hey, I'm working on a log-on screen, any tips for me to improve it perhaps?

sweet pic. the bevel looks retarded tho. get rid of it or change it up. and itll look sweet. oo and another thing i do not like how there is dark on one side and not the other it draws the attention towards that guy when it should really draw it to the area of concern such as maybe the login part ?

Ooh, and about the bevel, I'm trying to imitate BF2142's logon screen, but I don't know how exactly to make the metal look like it's more than a sheet of paper :P

oo okay i gotchya.. idk i just personally think you should mess with the bevel a bit cuz it just looks like a standard photoshop bevel like you just threw it in there.. and my personal opinion is i think maybe the dark spot either be on both sides or the middle but hey if it looks better that way you think then leave it. after all i do not have the psd and you made it. ;) other than that nice work. p.s. what did you use to mod your startup screen what file did you edit ?
