I just seems like a white blob smudged and some pen tool lines or fractal art or circle brushes with a color balance layer on it.
Too much smudging on such a simple object can look really bad.
I also think it looks a bit wierd that the circley thingies are symmetrical, but the big smudged thing isn't. Just doesn't look right to me.
Well, I played around with the filters a bit, it was originally, as you may have guessed, a white blob. The "circley thingies" were randomly put there, I didn't intend it to look symmetrical. Thanks for the criticism though. :)
Oh, and thanks for the great constructive criticism, VooDooRex.
Sarcasm doesn't suit you.
Anyway, I never intended to give criticism right away, I wanted to know if it infact was what I thought it was. Now HERE comes the criticism.
Don't make a piece centered around anything too plain. Something plain should not be the focal point in a piece. Also, never leave a piece that empty. It looks like it lacks something.
Random tips:
Get used to using filters and less brushing, and soon you won't need to use brushes at all.
Brushing can be good if you know how to make it subtle and you don't use the brushes to make the piece, you only use it to accent the piece.
If you would like any more tips, don't hesitate to ask.
I'd love more tips :)
Oh, and I didn't use any brushes there :S Maybe I should have?
I believe the big white blob was brushing. :P Haha. Default round brush?
Anyway, I just meant brushing in general. Like on your current sig, it looks like a smudge / brush combo. Also, they look like grunge brushes. WORST brush choice to use man. Everyone knows they are grunge brushes. Haha.
More tips? Do you have MSN? If you do, add me, VooDooRex@hotmail.com. I would like to ask you what kind of style and stuff instead of just spitting tips out over the forum that nobody really wants to know. :P
Good luck. :D
