pretty good lyrics, i imagine it would sound good with music. what genre is it intended to be? i'm guessing some sort of heavy rock, evanescence-esque.

I could imagine that as metalcore, with clean and rough singing parts.
Nice topic/idea, but the rhymes could be better ;| still, Not bad at all .

The style is more post hardcore for the music. My band has decided to change style, and we're most likely dropping the song.

And with regards to the rhyming, some of the best poetry and lyrics do not have rhymes; it's just an "un-written rule" that all poetry and lyrics should rhyme.
