Way to blurry IMO. Try to keep the texture of her skin, even after retouch, and don't use that blur effect and it would look much more professional. Pros never use that blur effect. Just a tip.. :)

thanks for the CnC.
And by the blurr effects, I know what your saying. Though I can safely say that "Pros never use that blur effect" isnt always true :P
I agree with what you said, but it "spikes" looked very harsh without it

Well, then there are professionals who have no clue of what they are doing for a living, and those who do. When you retouch a photo you are supposed to make it look like it's not retouched. The only place where I have seen that blur effect, except on graphic forums like this, is on an Absolute Summer Party or something like that. I don't think the guy who made it is a retouch pro. ;P

I have to disagree with the whole "make it look like it wasn't retouched". It doesn't look like what New001 is going for at all. This looks more like an abstract than a photo-retouch.

I thought it was clear that I was talking about professionals.

yeah, too much texture lost. that blur technique is so easy to recognize it looks kind of novice, you know?
Yeah I looked at that quite a while ago.
And I guess all I can say is I'm no pro?

Of course not, most of the members aren't. But one could always try to act like one.. :) I'm not saying you didn't do a good job. All I was saying is that for a retouch it would have been overdone, but since you said that it was pretty much a manipulation rather than a retouch, then I'll shut up. :)
