Community Logo

Hey guys!
First of all I have to say this; I'm no good at logos! :).

A friend and I are going to start a community for people living in the "Linköping" area and we are going to have some different sections where you can review places in the city etc.

The logo is supposed to be "playfull but professional" and I think I got it atleast just a bit. I know this is quite a common type of logo but it seems to be a good choice for this website.

Now for the 2 variations im working on:

I know they are really like eachother but I still want some c&c and not just on wether to use a line or not!

Ummm it could use some work. It seems a bit boring and cuold use some work.

I like it. The blue bar is a go too. Maybe show us some other ideaS?

put more work into the icon i'd say, incorporate it more with the text. make a larger one and really work on it (do it in illustrator so you can resize).

Better! Although you might want to leave a little more empty room on the right, the text is kinda scrunched.

yea well that was just beacuse of the size i worked with.
plus i gave more space between the other text and the icon :).

I'd lose the subtext, cut down on the glow on the icon, and brighten up the smaller parts

ok, ill try that :).
the subtext is actually gone in the website design im using it in, its comes right after the logo instead!
