I saw the render on some site and became inspired to make a sig out of it. The one thing I wasn't sure on, though, was where to put the text, if there should be any at all.

text? how about something on the left positioned diagonally? Like on his shoulder or whatever that white-ish part is. and maybe make the blending overlay?
It doesn't really need it though unless you want text on it somewhere.
The render isnt blended at all, but besides that I think you chose an appropriate size.
The BG looks pretty good. I like how one side is rough, the other is sleek... thats a very nice affect.
Theres a bunch of things that could be improved, but for now, put the text wherever you would want it... and continue making sigs :D
