Noise lines are kinda crappy and if you used an overlay effect for lighting.
I may suggesting Render-> Lighting Effects.
Decent manip though. I like the texture faintly viable that was well thought out.

no i didnt use an overlay for lightning. i dublicated the picture played played around with the levels and then made a round selection wich i feathered around 10 px and then pressed delete.
this is my first try on something like this and thx for the advices

i love old effects.. but wut is that cracky texture on it? i like the overrall contrast in it... but not likin the extra lightin on the head area... and so many other things..
my advice........ raid ur granma.. get some old pictures... and compare them to this... there'll be lots of genuine old pics on the net too...

texture could be toned down, or maybe just masked a little in some spots, esp on the white of her shirt.
also the light on her head could be toned down a bit, its a little blatant, if you know what i mean...

Get rid of the texture... apart from that - great! And also: around the head, get rid of the white, and make the lighting better - through lighting effects :)
