I'd say combine them both. Don't lose all the color, but dont only use red. The first one really caught my eye so i'd prolly pick V1. But i think it would be awesome if you blend them together, cause the other one looks chaotic and i like that type of thing, but the colors in V1 are awesome.
I like v2, with a tad more variation in color. Also, try a clipping mask with the text, so its not just black. really nice work!

eh, v2, monochromatic, can't see the text..
i like some of the colors in v1 better, but v2 has better unity. v1 has clashing colors in my eyes.
