My First "Planet" In Photoshop CS2

OK, it's not the best thing in the world, but I think it's pretty good for my first try at it.. :)

For your first try it is pretty good. The texture of the planet could be more varied and random. And I think that the ring of light should extend so far into the dark part of the planet. I'm no expert though.
Very nice though, I still need to try this.

Heh.. I didn't have any good textures so I just used one of my abstracts as a brush.. :p Didn't come out half as bad as I thought it would.. :) Still needs some work on it, but I'm likin' the result so far.. :)

Exactly my thoughts. I liek to see this in a Space scene thought to fully judge it. When It's just standing a lone like that it's kind of hard to judge it. But otherwise GJ. I'd recommend Dynctis' tut on dev art. If you want some pointers. He's really good.

maybe some kind of noise wud make the texture a lil bit better! though u can read Rabieshund's tut on here.... he tells u whr to get the gud textures!
