I know the body copy sucks - i didn't care too much to make up something inventive. I like the headline, though :) Stock image from DeviantArt.

I live in Burlington. just go to school there. Well, I live in "Aldershot" so i'm about 4 minutes away from Waterdown haha.

I'm not so keen on this one.
Seems very monotone and boring to me. Doesn't catch me eye or grab attention.

Yeah i'll agree it's pretty flat and monotone. But it is a newspaper ad, and part of the requirement was black and white. I tried to use grey over black so it wouldn't be too dark and have too much contrast.
