that looks really cool, good work. How long did it take to make?
Took me about ten minutes to make the logo itself and three days to get the lighting "just right" - to make the swirly wirly bit, i just used the cylinder and twist options (though dont convert to editable mesh) and the groove thing just kind of happened, but it was cool enough so i went with the flow. eh?
There's only 2 lights, one target light and an ambient (omni) light at a much lower intensity (about 50% lower)
WOW!
Nice, really didn't expect something that good...lol
Good work.
The reflections are awesome along with the lighting!
I really like this logo, its very furturistic. Has a great overall look to it and definately stands out :)
Its like a console logo or something :D

As a creative director of a design studio; i've tried to create logo's in 3d in the past as well. I stumbled upon the following issues: Try to avoid too much detail, since the logo has to be able to be used in very small black/white (fax) on a 1cmx1cm scale as well. All detail will get lost and the shape will be unreadable.
Good luck!. Cheers, M.
Oh snap, that's sick, man.
Totally looks like a logo for some tech company.
The lighting is delicious.
Samuel stole my words..

anyway, holy shit!
Is there any possibility I may have those mats? ;3
