Keep your text simple, in the second one you need to work on bg text blending and lightning. the first one seems to be bad quality, try out some tuts. and put on a 1px black border

the everquest one looks awesome...
proly your best to date :)
But maybe change the border to a black one, cuz the redish one doesn't look good :(

i like the 3rd one hehe.. but it can be improved tho
