Need Help Creating Images For Video

Hi

I am fairly new to Photoshop, and am trying to create a video, but need some images to use with the video. these images will then be animated using transition effects.

I was wondering how would i be able to create something almost the same (preferably similar to the last 2 screen shots) with the option of changing the colour scheme:
