Soft ends

Im using the pen tool and stroking it with the brush tool and clicking the stimulate pressure setting but I still get hard edges at the end of the strokes.

Open up your brush settings and make sure "Shape Dynamics" is checked. Without it it won't work.

It gives me a static like line, here are my shape dynamic settings, what should I change?

Try setting Minimum diameter to 0%.
