I Saw the Pirates of the Caribbean Tril. recently (and become some of my favorite movies) and I said EFFE it, i wanna make a banner. So, Jack Sparrow would be an OBVIOUS choice (actually, Elizabeth Turner prolly woulda been from way outta left field) but I chose Davy Jones. He's cool... Tell me what u think

Your style is certainly unique and I think you did a good job with the grungey background! The render however, is pretty hard to make out; I don't know what that lump of blobs is in the foreground, but I like how you've integrated some abstract lines and circles into it. :)
The text and positioning of the text could do with a change, but for your first try in 7 months - well done! Keep at it.
