I've been messing around a lot in cs, and am really starting to figure things out. I know I'll be making lots of stuff in the days to come, so I decided to make just one topic.

Someone link me to a good blending tutorial, I'M TERRIBLE. loll

--Just a tag,couldn't get the background colors to look good, so I said screw it after like 25 minutes and added some effects. Not super pretty, but its good practice :) I also couldn't find a good font, so I just picked one that looked close. I think it needs a border too.. XD

--The 'text' is supposed to be way back there. Its not the name or anything, its just a brush. I like it, I tried adding some lighting, but it looked bad so I removed it. Once again, no tutorial. :) I think this one needs a border too.

--Follow a tutorial of daemon, but got tired of it about half way through. My stuff wasn't the same as his, I put everything right. I think we have different CS versions XD. It has like 8 layers, but you can't see them.

I'm not looking to win any SOTW's. I'm looking for feedback. and yeah its Master Chief. I used the watercolor effect, everything I tried looked like shit. The background I couldn't get to match.

Um, Im not that big of a fan of it, its just not my style, I think its too blurry, maybe you used too much of the watercolor effect? It looks like you used ti on absolutely everything on your tag, even your text. The text is not exactly the most legible. You might want to try using a different effects, or maybe just not using one on absolutely everything. You can always change it around using "screen, soft light" and all of those fun things, and screw around with the opacity.
I would suggest tuts here. They are great, and I have improved 300% using them...Yet I am always still refered to them :P lol

Thanks! I'll be making some more tonight, following some tutorials. Maybe they will be better. ugh.
