Hello :) Newbie to this forum and Photoshop. Hope to learn a lot about Photoshop :)
By the way, I have a few questions I want to ask about Photoshop. I hope it's okay to post it here.
1. Background - When I open a new project to be transparant, it always ends up with a color (whatever color is set on the background color thingy) when I save it. I don't know how to disable the background color. Any idea how?
2. How do I take this image here without the background coming along with it. I just want the girl and not the backgrounds around it. I tried to select around it and copied and pasted, and I tried the Magic Wand but couldn't take just the girl. http://members.cox.net/molinawill/Images/PinUp001.jpg
LOL... sorry couldn't explain this better. I'm a new newbie he he he...
Thanks so much in advance!

I suggest you try saving as a .gif, but if you need a better response for your questions please post in the Software Help Forum. For #2, you may have to actually manually go through it, cutting it out. Or turing up/down the tolerance of the magic wand tool (cut out the girl + the 1 color background, then use the wand tool)
Hope to see ya' around in the future!

Question 2: yeah man just use magic wand and click anywhere on the inner pink then select "magic eraser" which is loacted under your normal eraser simply click and hold over the eraser and it will be the 3rd option of the 3 that come up, then click anywhere inside the lasso you made with your magic wand, this will leave you with just the girl in the middle and nothing around her (will be gray and white checks) so you wont have a white background or anything
hope that helps, if you need more help just ask
