Well, here are a few observations:
The good: Cool semi-transparent font with black stroke. The bad: It's too big and the outerglow looks hokey, even though you need it so make it stand out, which means the color or placement isn't right.
The good: Pretty cool border. The bad: Pretty boring render and cop-out background (unless you made that, then I'm a fool).
Not a bad sig though! Keep up the good work!
I will say it again, i wont place my renders so far to the sides if I was you. Also like virtue points out the text is too big and the outer glow does not do it any good. The bg is not bad, but i think its a picture i seen before try to make your bg's yourself instead of the paste copy thing, there are some good examples on how to do that here in the tut section. But its not bad for one of your first.
