Horse Practice :: Colored

Just colored it in Photoshop. Took quite a while and i'm still not done yet. Comments and criticism are always welcome :D. Lineart is here.

There's criticism and then there's just being mean. Take a guess which direction you're going in. Stop being a jerk because someone doesn't have as much "talent" as you. I don't like your art, but I don't come out and say it's horrible.

Anyways, I guess to bring the topic back to what Chronos did - It looks good. Keep working on your line art skill and adding in more shadows and highlights to your digital painting. It's a lot better than anything I could accomplish right now.

Hm.. I think this picture isn't that bad! It looks quite nice. Just a simple outline of a horse with highlights and shadows. Highlights and shadows are good, and they give the horse a more 3d-feeling. It's really good for a beginning, now you should try to add more details and stuff. Take a reference photo and paint more muscles or something..just mroe detail^^ And if you really want to make this picture wonderfull you should draw the same horse, with more detail, without the lines^^

this isnt bad, i dont know how long you have been doing this? but it looks pretty good. But work some on shadows and alsto the tail maybe get a more realistick hair look

your painting is too flat. you need to add more details, especially on the eyes and flank. try blending the lineart into your painting; it'll make it look softer and more realistic.
Add darker tones in places where the skin is overlapping: like under the snout and around the knee joints. dont soften the shading on the hoofs; itll help it look more like metal.
keep practicing and im sure youll get better =)

Coloring looks pretty good. Whats the jagged part on the horses back? By the way, our names are similar >.< XD :)
