Well... I can't see any connection with the render and the background. It seems you just made a bg and then pasted a cut render. The render needs blending (well, you could even recolour it a bit, so it would look a bit similar to the background)... Well, you could do better imo

The background isn't bad horrible. If I'm wrong i apologize deeply but but if you are a bit new to gfx this is a pretty good sig.
Work on your blending. Smudinging and doing anything to overlap teh border onto the render will work nicly.
I recomend trying a few tuts and learning the techiniques they show.
Daemon's tutorials are very good, Ilovecoheed's tutorial is also very great. I learned the basics off of that.
And if you are into halo sigs, I have a halo 3 sig tut, which i have gotten some good responses from.
All can be found in the signature tutorial area.
