One of my first test shots with my new Nikon D40 / 18-55 kitlens.

The background is too disturbing. For a shot like this you want a very simple background so that you focus on the subject only.

very nice, sharp. a good test shot.
but it feels like you just took a picture of something for the sake of taking a picture of it.. which is inevitably what test shots are for. so yeah, good job on a good test shot.

And yeah snap, I just took a picture of something for the sake of taking a picture xD but I tried to make it a little more interesting then just a shot, but mybe I failed in that point... xD

Well, I'm not a photographer but that looks nice ^^
