Portrait of Louise

Louise is singer/songwriter and she wanted a pretty close portrait. I don't do many (serious) portraits nowadays but it's good practice.

That has real clarity to the picture really great job. Are her eyes naturally like that? or did you enhance them digitally?

I have sharpened her eyes and also brightened them a tad. She wanted them to be the focal point. Thanks. :)

I like it, but I dont really like how the left side of her hair (her right) is backlit, it just looks a bit odd to me.

The texture you brought out on her skin is absolutely marvelous! Did you just use your regular high pass filter sharpening + sharp lens?
One thing that bothers me is that there seems to be a black like strip just above here left shoulder. It kinda doesn't go very well with the bright blue light and BG however still very good.

I like this a ton I always love your portraits.
