Love the detail on the planet really great job on that. But the background behind the planet should have a few stars maybe? The lighting is good but i can't seem to find the source. Improve those two things and you got a great contender. GJ :)

i dont like the borderish lines, or the text, but the planet is really different from most space art. and thats no a bad thing. it has alot of detail on the lighted side, maybe have a bit more of it illuminated. and the clouds feel as if they are actually in orbitish (idk how else to say it). if you want to go all out, add alot of depth with stars and a nebulae or something. use http://gallery.artofgregmartin.com/t...tar_field.html for inspiration. maybe add a little bit of atmosphere aswell. (it should be there somewhere aswell)

Remove the text and silly borders, and it'll look very nice :)
