I've been trying to re-create this photo (http://www.cornofstarch.com/images/milkyway-b.jpg) for weeks and it's driving me insane. I'm currently using brushing to do this. I tried custom brushes (made out of cloud rendering) but so far that's not working too well. I did find a tutorial on how to create nebula clouds using custom brushing and dodging but that didn't work out quite well (though the technique was interesting). I'm hoping someone can give me some pointers!
