so.. First off. Very nice background and placement of the render. That shows instant skill and perception. What the problem is that I don't know what your theme is but I'll try to make it grungy theme. First: duplicate render 2 or 3 times
2: Gaussian blur top by 5 pixels set to lighten
3: bottom by 3 pixel set to overlay.
Now the render is blended in. I'll post later I have to get off for the night.
For you very first sig, very good. Great background, like the placement of the text, maybe make it a bit smaller and blend it in a lil more. As for the render, good placement like what zeev was saying, I would say possibly make it a little more bigger and then do what zeev said also. Other than that, great great start.
