GJ. i like both pretty much the same. gj overall =). only thing you should think about..is putting the ML Design smaller. maybe shadow, or darken one corner, so you can put it white and small. it kinda takes away from your pic. cus thats basically the first thing i noticed. it's white and it's semi big. just a thought though. gj even though =).

I like how you have it done in the Ashley tisdale sig. ML. Even MLD would be nice. maybe u should try that, and place it close to your character. see if that works. and yea the fonts arent' the best in the captain america or the robot one. the ML Design that is. lots of stuff you can do to make it better. just throwin ideas out there for you ;)
Not really my style, good lighting on the captain america one, but seems like maybe a touch of blending would help, as for the text; ehhh, could use some work. Good start though.
