Ok, I never get a BG right, I also never know when its done. I realyl dont know how to make them match, i just start off and brush the put the render, text and color in and it comes out retarded.....Please help........

ya hes right, I really could never do bg's, in fact i just did um straight from tuts and they sucked. I think mine are ok now though :P. ya just fool around with what you like, and if it doesn't look good, start over.
I usually brush 2-3 layers and then add color. After that I mess with Brightness/Contrast, Levels, and Curves. I usually go for a balanced look without too much black or too much white. Just remember that a render can cover any bad spots so your background doesn't have to be perfect.
Hm.. I'll write a method of Full sig tuts of mine :D
I usually start with a layer filled with black then alternate layers of white and black brushing. Then add in your render, feather it by 20 pixels and add a layer mask. Or slighly erase the edges and even use the burn & smudge tools in moderation to get the right feel. Add a color balance or 2 or 3 with cloud filters to get multi-colors. That's just one way I do it.
