Yeah, we need em, i hate em though. I got my half-year exams coming up real soon :(

Yeah, they suck but they need to test you somehow to know that the information stuck with you or that you weren't just coping someone elses work the whole time... Although I will say some exams are way too hard for a given subject matter. For instance, I don't think a final exam should cover EVERY little thing learned throughout the year. That is just too much.

And while no one likes a final exam, what else does the school have to test your long term knowledge

they can test it with weekly or monthly assessments :P
