Ok so I've been scanning around and having a look.

I come across a section called 'Renders'.

Now to me, in my day to day life, what you call 'Renders' I'd call 'cut-outs'.

Am I right in thinking all you're doing here is cutting the main/core element out of another piece of work??

In which case why are they called renders? Surely renders are something that involves some sort of process, aka rendering (3D renderers etc).

Just curious really trying to pick up on the lingo so I can be hip with the kids on the street :P

Hmmm I think they're called renders coz they all 3d (like from 3d games and all) but we just cut em out, yeah..
this kind of renders dont have anything to do with 3d or rendering.

actually, render today is everything there is in a sig besides brushing/bg and effects.. like if you got a dude in a sig, the dude is the render.. if you have wolf in a sig, the wolf is the render etc..

Yea... I think its pretty dumb myself lol. Its not like the person actually RENDERED the picture :P Just cut it out nice and neat ;)

Renders...I think renders they say it because its a form of cutout...and it sounds so much better in site names..lol. Think of Gamecutouts.com compared to Gamerenders.com. GCO vs GR...GR wns :)
