I just started using photoshop, so this is really one of my first ones. I'm not very happy with the text, and I know it needs a border (probably a 3-pixel one, but I'm really tired, so I just uploaded it for feedback and whatnot.
Tell me what you think. Oh, yeah, I used the sparkle brush pack from these forums, so props to whomever put that together. Excellent excellent brush pack. B)

Sorry dude, I'm not feeling the color of the brushing and the text...
EDIT: try blending more than one color into the bg....one color makes it look blah...
Ok, thanks for the feedback. I am still learning the basics of Photoshop, and I'm sorta going for simplicity right now. :P I'll try adding more color into the BG, but I'm not really sure how to go about doing that. Time to do a tutorial search. :D
I just fried my harddrive, so I lost all my good fonts, and I haven't gotten around to reinstalling all of them. Thats why the text is not very good. That and I did this at 11p.m., and was just too tired to continue working on it. :rolleyes:
Shane, a big tip, save as jpeg. Saving as a GIF makes you lose LOTS of quality unless you really know what your doing with the settings..so...its very visible look at mario's hat, its all colorized...

keep working at it, just remember to take your time and learn the styles (abstract, grunge, vector, etc, etc) and you will improve alot, i guarentee it
