I understand the concept, and I think you've depicted it quite well. I'd suggest using different shapes for buildings in the 'city', as oppose to just rectangles. Try Skyscraper shapes and maybe multi-level buildings, ya know, to accentuate the complexity of the city in comparison to the ambience of the forest.
I think the typography fits nicely in this sig, and for some reason, even though it's slightly random, I like the man intertwined in ellipses in the top left, maybe he could be flipped horizontally as if to suggest he was undecided between taking the forest or the city, just an idea. But then again, maybe it was your intention to have him facing left, as though he couldn't decide, or was trying to escape. I like the train track, it kind of acts as a bridge between the city and forest, understandably so.
I like the curvy dividing lines, well shaped and well positioned, but maybe they'd look a little less choppy if done in Illustrator, for example. Also, I think the forest overpowers the city simply due to the fact it consists in the majority. Maybe if the sig was enlarged in height, then there'd be more potential to conglomerate the city, and hence invoke greater balance in this sig.
