not feelin it i think the render shoulnt be inder that layer it looks like to me um less it is really blened

Your doing what I did before, nice try anways, keep tryin.
Don't bursh on your render and try more colours..
i blended it alot, theres not layer on top, but yeah i didnt really like this alot either =/ but i wasnt sure on if it was good or not =/
get rid the brush from the render. it may look better :)
