image is cool, but it took me a good ten seconds to figure out exactly what it was. i know you're looking for that rustic faded look, but as you said yourself, increasing the opacity a bit would help. also, perhaps a smoother integration of the render into the background. overall, good start.

I think that you should change the color, maybe a darker brown or something.
