How DO i make those cool abstract brushes

i need the high quality brushes what program what ever can i use can i use photoshop 7 or cs for high quality brushes

Back on topic... Brushes can be made purely out of photoshop, taken from manipulated pictures, made with apophysis, or many other techniques. Try a tutorial site like good-tutorials.com for specific techniques. I mainly just smudge white spots with a spatter brush to make abstract brushes.
