These are for a different forum board. I like the scan effects, but i always thought its REALLY easy to mess them up, especially on an abstract sig because most scan lines (animation im talkin about here) are solid shapes, which i think kind of takes away from the abstract-ness...so here is my new try-out with 'scan line' animation...
i think they are pretty cool lookin. Any feedback would be appreciated :)

Looks good, only thing i don't like is how the scanline goes UNDER those big black brushed areas, doesn't look right to me, and i'd try an effect like a colour change next time with the scanline? Like as it goes over parts of the signature, they change colour, that could work
