Interesting effect, I love the colours and like your eagerness to produce stuff. It is nice and random but there is too much contrast there, try removing some of the saturation. Ctrl + U and drag the saturation bar to about half way between bottom and middle, about 40. Good job.
I did it with Colour Balance, will the Hue/SAt still work?
As long as you didnt get the colour balance by new layer > colour balance. It should work.
