I asked some friends about it and they gave mixed feelings about it. Im no good at those special effects like patterns and stuff... but what do ya think? Think its missing something?

ummm, its not the worst ive ever seen. But it needs some fixing up. The text needs to fit in better with the text, possibly be a little simpler. Background could use 2 be a little more complex with more layers. Finally, just work on blending the render (picture) a bit more into the theme of ur sig.

Work on getting more depth into the sig.. contrast/levels/curves

The font Evanescent does not, I mean DOES NOT look good on anything other than it being the Evanescence logo.
