Some guy had 25 good feedback points and then scammed like 96 people for thousands..

There are alot of scammers there, but if you are careful its a very safe way to deal, and there is also extra coverage if you pay through paypal (upto £500 I think it is).
Best thing I find is to check the items that feedback was left for, if they were all really cheap items, trust them less than their feedback is worth. Also check the people that left them feedback.
If they have a 100+ rating then they are probably safe to deal with anyway ;)
I dont buy off anyone with less than 50, and even then I check them out. I am sure most are great, but I dont personally think that the slight risk is worth it if the item is of value.

ebay is great as long as your buying from a reliable seller. i only buy from the power sellers and people with very high ratings. ive bought a video ipod, a gfx card, a paintball marker (a timmy), and a car cd player from ebay with no problems.
