Riiiiiiight.... white bg with the knight piece? Err.... the knight is awesome but its too plain mate :(
I know you're trying to go for a simplistic/minimalistic look, but that's taking the term way too far...
make the knight a bit bigger, and put it right in the middle, and put "czechmate" right under it. or maybe make the bg black, and the knight + text white.
