It's the first sig I've created in over a year, and the first one with a render in at least 2 years or so.

I don't quite like it that much, but I only spent about 2 hours on it. It's a little too crowded.

Yeah this sig sucks.

I personally think it's interesting man. I think if you simplified or semi-"vectored" the rest of the sig, it would look really sick.

maybe make the brownish/gray "splatter" area on the left side of the sig solid white (like a bg) it would take away some clutter.

it does look interesting but it seems a bit random and rushed...i could see this somehow in an LP which would be cool. just to much patterns for my taste and i think the little thought cloud should be taken out. it distracts the eye.

Yeah, those are the thoughts I had in my head when releasing it. The problem is that I haven't worked in a small canvas for a while.

I tried to do that, but the way I made the left side involved some complicated shit, thus making it tough to cover up. But yeah, I agree with you.




By the way, I feel I must mention that this is the first time I've ever used the pen tool, so I was still experimenting.

oh well grats on that, the pen tool is such a must. in my meek opinion, everyone who intends to do graphics should become proficient with the pen tool. Once you get it down you can create anything you want with ease.

I was always redundant to use it, but now I'm greatly intrigued. I've always used odd, tedious ways to do simple things (for instance, selecting+layer-mask+keeping selection-move instead of clipping mask), thus I would usually just use the select (or pencil) tool to create certain effects... but it's amazingly clearer and easier with the pen tool. So I'm glad I decided to expirement.

they way I learned to use it, was doing render with the pen tool. its the only way to cut renders imo. I used to be staff at di.net and I did lots of renders when i first joined. It make all the cuts so smooth. That would be my advice for starters on the pen tool. render away XD

oh yeah, that was what I was most impressed by. I can't believe I've been cropping shit with the simple selecting-marque tool... It's insane. It's so much cleaner with the pen tool.
