Try blurring it so it's more of a background object. I think it will look better then.

Yea, not really feeling this one.
The left side is too heavy for smoke type effect i think.

I think this one is alot better for the left side, but i think you could fade it even a bit more so that some bg shine through to give it a real neat smoke look, very nice sig anyway.
