Hey, seeing as im new i thought id try get my name up abit around the site :D well heres the story
i was bored a while back and decided to make a planet :D
everyone else who has commented on it said theres too much water but i cba to change it lol takes ages.

No but seriously, its pretty alright I guess.. would be nice with some more defined land instead of just splatters of mud like it is now, as if it was a huge marshland or something.

You've got the basic planet now.
Just need to work on details. =D
Make it a crescent, copy and paste the planet, then gaussian blur it until it's just a big round blur, make it black and pull it to cover one bottom of the planet.
Oh, and add a radial b&w linear dodge. :D
That planet is pretty sweet!
You should make it a wallpaper with some stars and gases, that would look cool!
Martin can help you advance from here. He used to be a planet beast.
I'm sure his tutorial is around here somewhere...

Try to create your own texture from stocks blend em togehter hard light soft light normal lower opacity, and then work on a giant canvas i work on a 7000x7000px atleast sometimes like 9000x9000px but then you can scale it down and shapen it to remain quality. :D
