dude you gotta try something different... yeah its a good style, but dude if you just keep doing the same thing people will start thinking that this is all you can do. other than that man, its good. What i would do is dl some psd packs and check out other's techniques or look around on some tutorials.

Not really.

Does it matter if people think that? He mixes and plays about with his style quite alot but it still is recognizable as his work.

Did Michaelanglo have to repaint the Cistine chapel blue and green poker dot because people might think he can't do anything else otherwise?

If what you do is good and your happy with it why completely change it? If it isn't broken don't fix it.
