I don't like all those ripple effects, it makes it look too busy.
But that's just my opinion.
a bit busy...but its good as far as style goes...
good job...try to tone down the effects a bit
I agree with the others-the ripples really draw attention away from Slash. I think the left hand side is alright in that respect, it's the right hand side that really sucks the eyes away. Tone it down by blurring it a bit more and possibly desaturating it a little?
Oviously Slash is the focal, but there's nothing setting him off as such (lighting, depth, etc).
