your right v1 was way to bright but v2 is way to dark and takes away focus imo from the stock. try v1 but burn and dodge it or maybe add a gradient map.

Yeah, I agree with the above comments. Try making a merge visible layer, duplicate it, set to soft light at aboooout 60% (that's an estimate, use whatever works for you), then using a soft eraser at low opacity to remove any bits that are badly affected. Try a gradient map, but I think that will change the colours too dramatically.

The lighting is spot on, and I like the flow. :) Nothing to change there.
