my 1st sig w/o tut

well i had epic phail trying to aeon flux tutorial so i got pissed and did alot of random smudging and this my result

is it to plain ? and yes i know it would be better w/o text so any1 got suggestions for that ?

Chuck a c4d in. Good job on smudging though :D

yea, I think you did a great job with the smudging and coloring, now you just need to work in some effects.

do you know of a good tut that would help with adding effects ?

Not bad with c4d's now last thing is that text use an arial font size 12 for your name and place it about 2 cm away from her mouth and pick a colour of your sig for the font colour :D

but yeah ur smudging has definatly improved...
as ratchet sed do the font up that way and it'll be sweet

I could help on the tutorial if ya like. What part did you get lost on?

IMO the sig is pretty good the C4D's look pretty cool Though I think you should toss some gradient maps and stuff in to make them blend with the sig more.

As for text I agree with ratchet. Arial would work well.
Lastly In think you should tyr to blend this a little more. Try adding some clipping masks over the bottom of the render.
To add a clipping mask:
new layer
Get out a splatter brush of some sort (or another type of brush i always use splatter though)
Paint once in a color you can see.
Create a new layer
Hide your splatter layer by clicking the eye in the layers pallette.
Image> apply image (or use your render, either one)
The unhide your splatter layer
Then while making sure the applied image is above the splatter and you have it selected hit: CTRL + ALT + G

Then just move the applied image around as you please. If oyu need some more help don't hesitate to ask or PM.

white text looked the best, i was using the eyedropper to pick colors but they didnt work

and the part i was having trouble on was the cliping masks :p always turn out bad when i use them lol
