Web design

Hey guys!

I'm a big fan of good design and I absolutely LOVE how there are so many talented people here! A bit of a dork.. but I'm literally drooling over every other designer. :D

So I decided to ask the experts. I been having some problems with this design: http://2d.withinme.org

I can't quite put my fingers on it but something looks off, lol. Perhaps too much white font?

Any suggestions and advice would be MUCH appreciated. It's been awhile since I lasted webdesigned but don't go easy on me. I'm here to learn, after all. Thank you!!

actually its not that bad. maybe you could blend it all in a bit more. For example dont just copy paste a photo of a lightbulb like you did there, integrate with the text. Use gradients instead of solid colours. that sort of stuff.

First glance, I didn't even know what your site is.

I'm gunna assume a portfolio. But how can I be sure? The way you have your content leads me to believe that your site is just part of your portfolio. Say who you are before you show people what you can do.

The blue around the lightbulb doesn't look like it should be there. Only thing I can really see.

Overall the site doesnt blend..

i think you should add gradients

I agree with immortal, Some gradients would really set it off. Although.. You cant slice gradients that well
