I took this lovely picture of a sunset in White Rock British Columbia Canada, and then went into photoshop and toyed with it, and this is what I came out with.

a bit over burned i think..

^^yep. You went a bit overboard.
You don't want to lose details in the photo when processing.
i would tyr to get rid of the blackness.
