lol yes a bit messy.
GFX is all about moderation. So the trick to making it is to make it simple and concise. You want every peice of whats in there to have a reason for being int he sig.
background wise it looks like your having a hard time laying a background out. I suggest you follow a couple signature tuts and pick up some techniques on backgrounds and blending.
text wise..i highly suggest reading my text basics tutorial located in the text effects tutorials, it's stickied. The trick to text is using default fonts until you can get your grasp of fonts. Default fonts look better on sigs than 99% of other fonts.
not too bad, your top is your best or your bottom.

Messy indeed. Although several of the messy ones i think turned out really nice. i like the 7th one down. also the "fresh off the palette," the third to last one, and the 5th to last one. messy isn't necessarily bad, but it can tend to get outta control. And papa's right about the tut's, gfx has some amazing tutorials. they helped me out a ridiculous amount. keep working at it! i'll be in the tuts right along with you

I guess if I make enough messy ones some will be good :P
The top and bottom are newest, and probably my favorite. Of all of my works these signatures actually have a fair amount of effort more then others.
As for the text, I surely agree. I'm really lacking ability there, and it's true about the simple fonts, thanks for advice :)

Look, I've been doin signatures for quite a while, and I've had.. maybe 1 signature with a good text outcome :P, it can be hard for some people to get a good looking text on a signature, such as me, and you.
Thén there's the freaks, the ones that just get out a crazy signature xD, with a working text..
I like the bottom one the most, gives me a funkeh feeling ^_^. But as the others said, read some tuts, and I bet you will get a lot better in no time :)
